“The way that the wind blew and the way that the car was sitting behind us ... the layout was perfect,” Ashley remarked. “It just worked out so perfect."
For Trapper and MaKayla, the photos are more than just a beautiful moment captured in time. They symbolize their resilience as a military couple, ready to face any storm that life may bring.
“Being a military wife, the stormy photos represent what challenges we will face as a couple, but we will have those because the day started out great, turned stormy, then cleared up and was a great night," MaKayla said.
The photos, now global sensations, have captivated viewers worldwide with their poignant depiction of love against nature’s raw power. “There’s a beautiful storm in the background, and it’s not raining a single drop,” Ashley shared. “The uniqueness of this photo has from so many people around the world, like, ‘How is this real?'”
